José Miguel Torres Cabrera plays first base for the Detroit Tigers. He bats and throws right-handed. He is a seven-time All-Star, having been selected to the National League All-Star Team in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and the American League All-Star Team in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Cabrera has started 100 games at each of first base, third base, left field and right field.
In 2012, Cabrera became the first player since 1967 to win the batting Triple Crown, leading the AL with a .330 batting average, 44 home runs, and 139 RBI, earning him the AL MVP award that year. In 2013 Cabrera improved on the previous year's batting performance, and received another AL MVP award.
